    Once a year, the elite designers of the region gather in a small screening room at a local independent theater. The drinks are stiff. Elbows rub. Old colleagues reminisce. Wide-eyed students fidget in their seats. There is a Keynote presentation. And usually a boring, annoying, and/or drunk emcee butchers the names of winners, and doles out expensive etched acrylic trophies.

  • World Carfree Day 2007

    Every September 22, people across the globe get together to swear off their cars – if only for one day – in a collective reminder that we don’t have to accept car-dominated societies, cities, or personal lives.
